Our goal was to create a top quality, Christian childcare option guided by a faith-based curriculum and blended with proven concepts and strategies of early childhood care, teaching methodology and environment.

Vision, Mission & Values

  • Our vision is that our Christian Academy Preschools become a place where children learn to embrace a love for God and develop skills that will lay a foundation for success in every area of their lives.

  • Our mission is to offer a secure, Christian-based, multi-cultural and engaging environment, where children can develop motor, social, critical thinking, language and literacy skills while building character and self-confidence.
  • We strive to provide an opportunity for children to develop early life skills through guidance by our staff and through immersion into our stimulating classrooms and play areas that foster social interaction, encourage exploration and trigger curiosity.

One of the goals of our curriculum is to teach the children to learn and adapt, not only in preschool, but well into adolescence and adulthood.  We strive to create an environment where every child will develop a positive self-image, good attitudes, adaptive skills and healthy habits that will last a lifetime.

Our curriculum is derived from multiple theories of child development to support growth toward achievement of goals in the four domains of early learning – Social, Emotional, Intellectual and Physical.  We believe that when properly guided, the whole world can become a potential curriculum for a young child by engagement and interaction within the classroom environment, structured play and use of the imagination.

Not only does our curriculum promote success in the early learning areas of development, but we also involve the children in developmentally appropriate activities that help teach aspects of social responsibility and awareness of the environment and the world around them.

We implement our curriculum through the guidance of our loving, passionate, educated and highly experienced professionals who facilitate the children on the educational journey during the infant, toddler and preschool years.

6 weeks to 15 months

One of our Infant Program’s primary goals is that you and your child to establish a trusting bond with our loving, responsive, and dependable caregivers who are specially trained to meet the unique needs of your infant. Our caregivers devote a significant portion of the day to holding, cuddling and playing with the infants in our care.

To an infant, each day is full of exploration and discovery, and in order to support your child’s expanding imagination, our caregivers recite nursery rhymes, sing songs, tell stories as well as facilitate play with developmentally appropriate toys, books and musical instruments.

Our caregivers monitor your infant’s progression toward generally accepted developmental standards and provide feedback to you and the Director on a regular basis. Our experience shows that each child will develop at her or his own pace, and with that knowledge in mind, we will partner with you to decide the appropriate time for your child to transition to the Young Toddlers Program.

Daily, you will receive a summary sheet that provides your infant’s feeding, sleeping and diapering details, as well as other pertinent information. You will also have the opportunity to explore the details of your child’s day with his or her caregiver.

Our Young Toddler Program’s goal is to encourage children to use their bodies, senses and emerging problem-solving skills to explore the world in the ways most meaningful and effective for them. Because we believe young children learn best through hands-on experiences, our teachers will plan each day with fun activities that excite and develop your young toddler’s mind, body and spirit. We balance individual attention with group experiences to ensure that your young toddler is using his or her energy in productive ways.

Young Toddlers are developing a sense of independence, using first words, taking first steps and establishing friendships. Our highly trained teachers will introduce concepts of communication and language building skills to your child.

We will also monitor development progress to ensure that your young toddler is mastering the skill sets necessary to transition to the Toddlers Program. You will have two scheduled conferences per year to review your young toddler’s progress toward social, emotional, intellectual and physical development goals.

You will receive a daily summary sheet that provides your young toddler’s eating, sleeping and diapering details as well as other necessary information. You will also have the opportunity to discuss your child’s day with the teacher.

Our Toddler Program’s goal is to teach your child to learn to channel his or her curiosity and energy in both group and individual activities that will help foster the development of self-confidence and self-esteem.

Our teachers engage the toddlers in a variety of age-appropriate activities which include singing, drawing, listening and playing. Although individual and group activities focus on specific curriculum topics, our trained teachers understand that each child develops at her or his own unique pace.

A significant portion of your child’s development throughout the Toddler Program is highlighted by enhanced social skills and language usage to express desires as well as improvement in fine and gross motor skills.

You will be given the opportunity to attend two conferences per year to discuss in detail your toddler’s progression toward development goals. As your child begins to show interest, teachers will patiently begin guiding your child through toilet training before he or she begins our Preschool Program.

You will receive a daily summary sheet that provides your toddler’s eating, sleeping and diapering or toilet training details (if applicable) as well as other important information. You will also have the opportunity to discuss your child’s day with the teacher.

Our Preschool Program creates excitement and anticipation, because the children discover an increased amount of independence. We focus on your child’s continued development of language, vocabulary and problem solving skills throughout the program.

Our preschool teachers are enthusiastic and focus on creating positive attitudes toward school and learning for the children. Our preschool teachers spend a substantial amount of time observing and listening to the classroom’s imaginative ideas to adapt the environment to keep children engaged and excited about learning.

Children are introduced to learning centers, designated areas of the classroom, that are chosen independently by the child to promote a variety of skills such as math, language, writing, art, dramatic play and science. In learning centers, children can work independently, with a friend or in a small group, which allows preschoolers to shape and affect their learning environment.

Through art projects, children will be exposed to a variety of materials, where they will learn to use and manipulate tools which helps develop fine motor skills needed for early writing as well as self-expression, imagination and creativity.

We will schedule a spring and fall conference to review your preschooler’s progress toward the mastery of skills needed to progress into our Kindergarten Readiness Program.

Our Kindergarten Readiness Program’s goal is to focus and develop the skills your student needs to succeed in kindergarten. Our talented Pre-K teachers plan schedules and routines that help prepare your student to transition into kindergarten with ease.

The attention span of four and five year olds begin to increase to a level where the Kindergarten Readiness teachers can create more in-depth lessons for the students with an emphasis on writing, math, art, science or social development. To best prepare your student for kindergarten, your child will have a balance of teacher-directed activities and student-initiated learning center time.

To help solidify age-appropriate social skills and self-confidence levels expected in kindergarten, the students will choose daily classroom jobs and tasks while sharing responsibilities with classmates. Students continue to have plenty of opportunities to promote healthy physical activities through music and movement, exercise and outdoor play.

The Director, Pre-K teacher and parent will meet formally at least two times as well as informally as many times as needed to discuss the assessment of the student’s social and basic core skills. We closely monitor progress throughout the pre-kindergarten year to ensure that the student is adequately prepared for the next step to kindergarten.
